Academic researchers and other qualified investigators are invited to explore the resources of the CNN World Report Television Archive at Texas Tech University. In 1991, the School of Mass Communications and the Cable News Network joined in a project to house the week-end CNN World Report, a program series in international electronic journalism unique in the cable/broadcast discipline. The archive has complete video holdings for the weekend CNN World Report from its inception in 1987 to present.
Qualified researchers throughout the world may make videotape loan requests
of copies of complete shows or individual news segments. In addition, scripts
are available for some news segments. A computer database for the show
is available on-site at Texas Tech University. Researchers not able to
visit the university can use our online database or request inquiries by
mail, phone, or e-mail. The archive is located in the library of Texas
Tech University's International
Cultural Center, 601 Indiana Avenue.
