What ACT did for me...

“Being involved in ACT allowed me to build lasting relationships through many social and leadership opportunities. I have made many network connections in the agriculture field that have proven to be beneficial in my line of work. My leadership involvement in ACT was the stepping stone that led me from a collegiate setting to a professional setting.”

-Emma Matkin, Communications specialist, Plains Cotton Cooperative Association

Texas Tech Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow is a collegiate organization that focuses on the development of members’ communication skills and provides members with opportunities involving community service, leadership, social, educational and fundraising activities.

The Texas Tech chapter has an average of 45 members each year, and throughout the course of the year, members are given the chance to become more aware of communications opportunities in the agriculture industry through lectures by guest speakers, internship opportunities, and educational trips to different corporations related to agricultural communications.

Our Purpose

The purpose of the organization is to stimulate interest in the profession of agricultural communications, promote the interchange of ideas among students and faculty members and with other ACT chapters, and establish professional contacts through the organization.
