Bowling Night with ASME and Pi Tau Sigma
Come out to Whitewood Lanes and bowl with fellow engineers in ASME and the Engineering Honor Society Pi Tau Sigma!

ASME will cover the cost of bowling shoes (for ASME members) and will be reserving lanes.

Tailgate Saturday vs OSU
Linn Energy will be hosting the tailgate before Texas Tech vs. OSU game!
Come out to hang out with fellow engineers and get some good food!

The department picnic will be held on Saturday, October 26th at Dr. Jeff Hanson's home. We will be cooking out and watching the Texas Tech vs. OU game!
Come early to watch the Red Raiders vs. Oklahoma on Dr. Hanson’s 60” TV with friends and faculty.

IAB Lunch Fall 2013
The IAB Lunch was a great time! Lots of networking with other engineers and food! For those of you who missed out keep checking for further events with ASME and the Mechanical Engineering Department!

Exxon Mobil Infosession
Exxon came out to our ASME meeting to talk a little about their company. The Exxon employees talked about their jobs and what is involved with them. One being an upstream drilling engineer working in Russia, the other a downstream chemical engineer working at the refineries. Great perspectives of both directions in oil and gas!

Saulsbury Industries hosted our tailgate against Texas State. It was a great event, prizes were raffled off and the food was spectacular. Hope to do it again Saulbury Industries!

Dril-Quip is an oil and gas manufacturing company headquartered in Houston, TX. The current CEO of Dril-Quip is a Texas Tech graduate, and the company focuses on subsea technology. ASME will also be hosting a facility tour to Dril-Quip during the spring semester, so stay tuned for more information.
