A company’s participation in ASME events is vital not only to the growth and participation of our membership, but to the growth of the companies themselves. Texas Tech’s ASME Chapter prides itself in bringing together companies such as yourself and future graduates of the college of engineering. We feel that by increasing the knowledge of the students about what types of jobs are available helps to not only prepare the students for choosing the right career, but may expand the possibilities or goals of these students to things that they may not have known existed. The most common method of this transfer of information is the company presentations that we have at general meetings. We also do sponsored events such as sponsored Tailgates for the football games, barbecues, company dinners, Donut Days, intramural sports, and many more. At these events the students are able to socialize with the company representative in a relaxed atmosphere, ask questions about the company or even about some personal experiences that he or she may have had on the journey to becoming an engineer. There are many ways to get involved, please let us know what we can do to help.

Companies who are interested in sponsoring a meeting, sending a speaker, or donating to ASME contact lyndle.jackson@ttu.edu to make arrangements.
