Meetings are held 2-3 times each month with exception of the last month of each semester. ASME has had a number of companies come in the past such as Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, IPTI, TXU, Exxonmobil, and many more. Our meetings consist of free food and prizes as well as the opportunity to ask companies some of your own personal questions. Attendance is taken each meeting for the $500 book scholarship. For each event that you attend, your name is added to the drawing bin, the more events you attend, the better your chances.

To become a student member of ASME pick up an application from the ASME office in the ME building room 129 or visit the national website and fill in the application. Payment is available by credit card, check or wire online and by check or cash at the office. Be sure to print off the conformation page and bring it to the Texas Tech ASME office to guarantee your local memebership. If you apply online you will still have to pay $10 to the local chapter to obtain membership.
