About
US
Purpose:
The objectives of this organization are: first to promote and stimulate
interest in the field of veterinary medicine; second, to provide
its members with sources of information regarding the application
process; and third to provide opportunities for working knowledge
in the field of veterinary medicine.
Advisors
Dr. Bo Brock
Dr. Brock is a practicing veterinarian in
Lamesa, Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary
Medicine in 1990, and has owned his own practice since 1992. He
currently teaches two classes; Animal Diseases and Care and Management
of Companion Animals. Dr. Brock has been our advisor since the society
started in 2000. He has three daughters, Emili, Abbi, and Kimmi.
Dr. Kevin Pond
Dr. Pond is our on-campus advisor. He graduated
from Cornell University with his Animal Science degree then attended
Texas A&M and graduated with his Masters and PhD in Nutrition.
He came to Texas Tech University in 1996 as the chair for the Animal
Science department. He currently teaches two classes; Seminar and
portions of Nutrition. Dr. Pond has three kids Anson, Kendra, and
Nathan. He lives in Wolfforth where he raises cattle and horses.
