Welcome to the Forage Research Program in Plant & Soil Sciences here at Texas Tech University.
Our GoalTo provide you with access to information about our research program and to provide useful information that can directly contribute to the Sustainability of Agriculture in the Texas High Plains and to specifically conduct research that will benefit our community and answer today's questions in agriculture, providing help to our producers and industry for a more sustainable and profitable agricultural lifestyle while preserving our natural resources.
Research ProgramThe Forage/Livestock Systems Research Program is part of the Plant & Soil Science Department at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. Our program is multidisciplinary with large interaction from various departments, state agencies, government entities, companies, and producers. Dr. Vivien G. Allen, PhD. is a Paul Whitfield Horn Professor and Thornton Distinguished Chair in Plant
& Soil Sciences
with Texas Tech University, and has been the
Mr. Philip Brown, M.S. is Senior Research Associate of our
Forage Program in charge of
overall laboratory, field and
Mr. Paul Green, is our Technician responsible for data collection,
sample preparation, and field maintenance and operations. Mr. Green
assists graduate students with
Paul takes great care in all of his work as is demonstrated in every aspect of his involvement with our program.
