Our Mission

Foundation exists to glorify God by pointing new students to Him at Texas Tech. Retreat is held the week before school begins in August, but we've been working and praying long before we get there! Our staff is made up of 62 Tech students from different denominations, fields of study, hometowns, you name it! We love Foundation and have diligently prepared to help new students transition into their best, most fruitful years yet.

One way we have done this is through CHOP, our Campus House of Prayer. In April, we took shifts in praying 24 hours a day for seven days for our campus, world, and new students we can't wait to meet. We plan on having another CHOP after school starts in the fall, if you're going to be in Lubbock, come pray with us!

Foundation is a wonderful way to start your years at Tech with a community of believers seeking Christ. Everyone on staff has been in your place not too long ago. Come hear from us how we've experienced God's grace at Tech.

What We Believe

There is one eternal God consisting of three persons the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (The Trinity). God created us in His own image, but we rebelled (sin) and a separation was formed between God and us.

In order to restore a people to Himself God has sent His son Christ Jesus in the form of man. Through Christ's perfect life, His death, and resurrection He has conquered sin and through faith in Him, His righteousness now counts for us. This means that our sins are forgiven and we stand fully accepted by God and that there is nothing we can do to make Him love us more or less.

The Holy Spirit now resides in us as a seal to the grace that has been worked in our lives. Therefore we confess that out only hope is in Christ alone, and so for us this means that our desires, hopes, and passions are continually being conformed to His.
