The Goin' Band From Raiderland is the 450-member marching band of Texas Tech University and is under the direction of Mr. Christopher Anderson. Located in Lubbock, Texas, Texas Tech University has an enrollment of 29,000 students. Band membership is open to all students regardless of major and a minimum amount of rehearsal time is used in preparing four different shows per season. A mixture of "traditional" and "corps" style techniques are used in these performances. The Goin' Band was the recipient of the 1999 Sudler Trophy given for consistent excellence in collegiate marching bands.

Important Information for Prospective Students and Current Band Members

If you are a current member of the Goin' Band, please click on "Students" on the left side of page. Then click on "Current". There are letters and forms for you to read, print off, complete, and return no later than June 30th.

If you are a prospective candidate for the Goin' Band, please click on "Students" on the left side of page. Then click on "Prospective". Please read the letter from the Director, print off the forms and complete them, and return them to us no later than June 30th along with your fees.

Please note: If you do not participate in the Goin'Band in the Fall, all your fees paid for these items will be refunded by the University. Please be aware of the steps you must take to insure that your refund will be sent to you in a timely manner by the University. If you do not make the band, it is your responsibility to send an email to debbie.holt@ttu.edu with your correct mailing address for the refund and the name that should appear on the refund check itself. No refunds will be processed until you have taken this first step.
