HSS - Heritage

Over the years, the Hispanic Student Society has not only grown, but has buit up it's involvement with the Texas Tech and Lubbock community. Here are some the accomplishments the Hispanic Student Society has come to become so proud of:

  • Creators of the "Original Salsa Night" known as "Noche Caliente".

  • Hosts the annual Hispanic Cultural Awareness Week.

  • Established in 1964 and officially founded as the Hispanic Student Society in 1984.

  • Participates in a variety of Service Projects including Wiley's Way and Relay for Life.

  • 1st multi-cultural organization at Texas Tech University.

  • Offers scholarship opportunities to students at Tech and in the Lubbock community.

  • Featured a number of times in a variety of publications including the Daily Toreador,LubbockOnline, and Latino Lubbock.

  • The umbrella organization to all multicultural organizations on campus.
