What is an IE?
Industrial engineers use the information and techniques from physical,
mathematical, biological, behavioral, and engineering sciences to plan, control,
design, and manage complex organizations and systems. Industrial engineering
applies the laws of the physical sciences to designing and operating systems in
which products are produced and services are provided, as well as to considering
the behavior of people as they operate in these systems.

The main purpose of the Texas Tech student chapter of IIE is to expose industrial engineering students to the engineering environment and industry. IIE is open to all industrial engineering students.
