Gospel Message

IVCF History

The Gospel Message is the basic belief that unites all Christians,
and it is all the understanding that is needed to start following Christ.

The Gospel Message

Sin
The world is in a fallen state. Although God created it good, mankind’s rebellion has brought corruption into all things. Our hearts have also been damaged, and it has become hard for us to distinguish good from evil and truth from lies. Our disobedience in sin separates us from God.

God’s Response
But God continues to love all his children and call us back to him. Because we have fallen, we cannot save ourselves. So God came to Earth as a man called Jesus. He was tempted but did not sin. Instead, he took all our sins on himself, and accepted the punishment of death in our place.

Our Response
God invites us to surrender our rebellion and accept Jesus’ sacrifice. We can choose to give up being controlled by sin, and give our lives to God instead.  We receive a new life, and begin a life-long growth process in God’s power. We hope you’ll join our community to do it together.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

–John 3:16

“According to your unfailing love, according to your great compassion, wash away my sins… Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit in me.”

–from Psalm 51
