
Red Raiders head to Minnesota

Tech Red Raiders won the LSA championship this past weekend for this first time
in over a decade. It was back in 1992, when the Red Raiders last took home
the trophy. Now they head up to Minnesota to compete for the national
title against the best teams from across the country.

and UT for LSA Title

The Red Raiders wrapped up a superb regular season this weekend by defeating A&M
and UT to take the LSA trophy back to Lubbock for the first time in 13 years.

The Red Raiders took on the North Texas Eagles in
the first round of the LSA playoffs in Plano, TX. Tech commanded an early lead
with senior midfielder Miller Adair scoring the first goal of the game and
setting the tone for the nine goal win over UNT. Tech's defense played very
solid, shutting off UNT's star shooter, Chris Files . . .


Tech falls to UT in heartbreaker 8-11
Friday April 15, 2005
The Red Raiders faced UT in
Austin Friday night to determine the LSA North #1 playoff seed. Tech took an
early lead with senior midfielder Miller Adair scoring the first goal of the
game. UT answered seconds later proving that they came to play and were not
going to submit to Tech's dominating grip on the LSA . . .


Tech edges North Texas in Denton 11-9
Sunday April 10, 2005
Following their victory in
Waco, the Red Raiders faced the formidable North Texas Eagles on Sunday. While
missing who is perhaps the LSA's best face off specialist, #16 Nathan Torok, and
a few other key players did not prove to hinder Tech's game in Waco, their
absence almost cost them a key win over rival North Texas . . .

Raiders stomp Baylor in Waco 16-5
Saturday April 9, 2005
Texas Tech made its first stop on their two game
road trip in Waco, Texas to take on the Baylor Bears. The young Baylor squad
was unable to put an end to the onslaught brought on by the Texas Tech offense
and defense. Tech climbed to an early lead and set the tone for their
convincing eleven goal win over the Baylor Bears.

The Red Raiders took on asecendant Texas State at
home in the backdrop of the United Spirit Arena looking to end the weekend and
the season with a perfect record at home. As the game began to unfold under the
West Texas sun, it became apparent that keeping a perfect home record would not
be so easy for the Red Raiders
