Miller Girls, a recognized student service organization at Texas Tech University, prides itself on the commitment of servitude to the University and the surrounding Lubbock community.  Miller Girls was founded at Texas Tech University in 1977 and has earned a reputation for volunteerism and community service.  Following is a list of community projects:

Buckner's Children's Home - Orphanage for children aged 5 to 17.

Women's Protective Services - provide a safe haven for physically, emotionally, and sexually abused women and their dependent children

Hospitality House - Nursing Home

Salvation Army - World wide organization which helps the needy

H.O.S.T.S. - Helping Other Students to Succeed

Meal on Wheels - Lubbock Meals on Wheels provide nutritious home-delivered meals to those homebound, elderly, or disabled
