The Frequantly Asked Qestion File
- What is Mu Epsilon Kappa?
- Mu Epsilon Kappa Anime (aka "MEK") is a Japanese animation fan club at Texas
Tech University. Our purpose is to provide a safe, comfortable environment
where anime fans from all over can come together and watch anime. In
addition to this, MEK is also wishes to promote world peace through the sharing
of popular culture.
- Why the name Mu Epsilon Kappa?
- It's a clever little play on words. The acronym "MEK" is pronounced 'mech.' The founder of MEK, Captain Harlock, thought it was neat.
- Did you replace the club on campus?
- Though we were originally called Mu Epsilon Kappa Anime, 10,000 Animeniacs,
no, we are the original organization founded in 1994 by Dave 'Inky' Scott.
- Are you some sort of frat or greek organization?
- No. MEK has never been in any way affiliated with any greek organization and hopefully never will be.
- Now that's cleared up, where are you and how do I get a hold of you?
