The name of the organization would be "NEPAL STUDENTS' ASSOCIATION (NSA)" of Texas Tech University.
Article II (Objectives)
The association shall be a non-profit organization with the following objectives:
- To learn and understand diversity through cultural exchange between community of Lubbock and the staff of Texas Tech University
- To address the challenges encountered by the Nepali Students at Texas Tech University
- To coordinate and cooperate with the organizations on campus and in the city of Lubbock in activities of mutual interest
- To promote, advance and spread the awareness about Nepal and its ancient cultural heritage
- To contribute to Student Government Association's (SGA) efforts to make Texas Tech the best place for academic excellence
Article III
- The membership is open to anyone enrolled (or employed) at Texas Tech University or Nepali family living at the city of Lubbock and vicinity of Lubbock. However, the membership can be provided to others based on the decision on the executive committee of NSA. Only registered Texas Tech Students may vote or hold office. The executive committee of NSA is empowered to take any decisions regarding the membership fee. All the members of the organizations will however be required to pay the membership fee each year. The executive committee members in the Association have equal rights and the executive members will functions as the liaison between the members of the association.
- Nepal Students Association shall not discriminate anyone on the basis of religion, race, sex or national origin.
Article IV (Executive Committee)

Section A:
- The association shall have the following six Executive Committee Members (henceforth, referred to as 'Officers'): President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Activities Coordinator and Webmaster. The officers shall be elected by a majority vote of the members. Elections shall be held once a year, by secret ballots of members present at the election meeting at which candidates may make a short campaign speech.
- The Executive Committee is formed on the basis of 'ONE PERSON, ONE POST' principle.
Unopposed candidates are automatically selected by members and President. The president breaks the tied votes. - Any officer who fails to attend regular meetings shall receive a warning letter. If the warning letter is ignored, the officer will be removed by majority vote of the Executive Committee.
- In the special situations, advisors and other executive committee members will ask for officer nominations in their regular meetings. Those nominations will be accepted upon approval of current members in the next election meeting.

Section B:
All officers shall have the duties, responsibilities, and powers stated in this constitution.

The President:
- Overseeing and running meetings
- Scheduling meetings and elections
- Being the liaison to the advisor and external functions
- Serving as a publicist by informing the public
- Delegate authority whenever necessary

The Vice-President:
- Assisting the President in duties
- Acting as President in his/her absence
- Chair and oversee special assignments as assigned by the committee and the advisor
- Create sub-committees when necessary

The Secretary:
- Organize committee meetings, prepare the agenda, and record minutes of meeting.
- Keeping and distributing information to members
- Inform the members about meeting in a timely manner
- Arranging publicity for organization events.
- Respond to NSA members on behalf of the committee

The Treasurer:
- Preparing annual budget.
- Ensuring organization adheres to allotted budget
- Reporting on financial matters to executive committee

The Activities Coordinator:
- Programming for various events.
- Interface between NSA and recreation center of the Texas Tech University to facilitate sport activities
- Keep records of all cultural and sports events
- Serve as the representative of NSA at the Student Organization Advisory Committee(SOAC) and Student Government Association (SGA) meetings.

The Webmaster:
- Design and manage the organization website.
- Provide computer based and Internet based solutions that facilitate smooth functioning of other committee members' tasks
- Interface with the Texas Tech's IT organization in technical matters concerning mail server, news server, web server and other computer related services.
- Manage and administer the association's database.

The President:
Article V
The NEPAL STUDENTS ASSOCIATION is not affiliated with any other organization.
Article VI (Activities)
- Organize social events such as sports, musicals etc and cultural events.
- To act as an interface between Nepali community with the community of Lubbock.
- To act as an interface between SGA and NSA members
Article VII (Advisor)
The advisor shall be chosen by the Executive committee. The advisors' responsibilities include:
- Assisting student leaders and members with the administrative complications
- Providing additional support from the related campus departments
- Meeting regularly with the executive committee to discuss matters concerning the organization
- Relaying and updating information
Article VIII (Termination Policies)
This policy is to terminate non functioning and non active NSA committee members from their office
- A committee member can be terminated from his office when there is a majority within the committee supporting his/her termination.
- If a committee member does not function according to his duties in the constitution and five written complaints against his incompetence to hold office are filed with the faculty advisor, it calls for the committee to meet and observe Rule 1 after scrutinizing the claim and defense.
- The committee member can voluntarily give up on his/her office by calling a committee meeting and the committee along with the faculty advisor gives their consent.
