President  - Feel the calling to leadership? Like to see 'the big picture'? Can handle high expectations set by others? Consider running for President!

Shall be vested with the power to call general and executive meetings. Shall address the status and objectives of the Organization. Shall appoint chairs for all ad hoc committees. Shall ensure that each board member executes their duties. Shall be responsibile for the preparations of the agenda prior to Executive and General Member meetings.

Vice-President  - Do your best leading behind the scenes? See things from the broad picture, but maintain a sense of detail? Enjoy helping others achieve large goals? Consider running for Vice-President!

Shall assume the duties of the President in their absence. Shall advise the President on matters of interest to the organization. Shall assist in ensuring that all executive board and comittees are acting upon their duties assigned to them and their natural duties as outlined by their position by-laws.

Treasurer  - Are you an Excel whiz? Do you like to 'see the money'? Comfortable with large sums of cash? Feel an ethical calling? Like to make lists and check them off? Tend to keep your friends on a time schedule when they loose track? Consider running for Treasurer!

Shall be responsibile for keeping the Executive Board informed of its financial status. Shall submit all required bouchers and payment records on a timely basis as specified. Shall attend all SGA funding and SORC meeting to ensure funding to the organization. Shall submit all required documents to SGA in the strict timelines they stipulate.

Secretary  - Detail oriented? Tend to finish things ahead of time so you can relax? Sleep better when everything is in its right place? Enjoy the moment, but always plan in advance? Tend to be the group member who sends the first email? Consider running for Secretary!

Shall keep clear and concese record of all meetings General and Executive. Shall record minutes taken during these meetings. Shall be responsible for the maintainance of member: Contact information, Participation Points, Trip/Travel (conference) refund reciepts, Payment records, email addresses and any other internal documentation.

Publicity Officer-  You are the one that usually gets called to 'spread the word' to your social circles? You like to help run campaigns? Have you ever been a Community Advisor? Do you spend substantial time on social networking sites or keeping up with friends? Are you good with photoshop, illistrator, or even just powerpoint and mspaint? Consider running for Publicity Officer!

Shall be responsible for preparation of the advertisements and other promotional materials for all the organization's events. Shall be responsibile for ensuring that advertising and promotional materials are prepared in a timely manner with ample time to be disseminated before the events. Shall be responsible for the recruitment of new members. Shall be responsibile for coordinating special events for recruiting new members.

Professional Liaison - Like to network? Not afraid to seek out professionals in the field? Never met a stranger? Known as verbose in your friend group? Want to have exclusive acess to the professionals in the field? Consider running for Professional Liaison!

Shall be responsible for scouting professional guest speakers for events. Shall be responsible for promoting a positive image to guest speakers. Shall be responsible for developing itineraries for speakers, interviewers, or distinguished alumni. Shall organize transportation and all accomodations for all guests of the organization.

 

Social Chairs (2) - Like to be the one to throw the party? Find yourself calling all of the guests and making it happen? Do your friends call you a social butterfly? Do you like to see 'it all come together'? Have you ever worked at a resturant or bar? Consider running for Social Chair!

Shall be responsible for coordinating organizational events. Shall be responsible for organizing a special events comittee of member volunteers to help set up and tear down events. Shall be responsible for the purchasing and ordering of event refreshments and accomodations. Shall work directly with the publicity officer to ensure effective advertising and participation for all events.
