1. Deadline for Alumni Association Annual Reports is March 1, 2003

Required by the Phi Theta Kappa Board of Directors, the Alumni Association Annual Report is the method by which Headquarters keeps abreast of alumni leadership and activities within the Society. If your association did not receive the form, please send an email to alumni.office@ptk.org.

2. Alumni Volunteers Needed at Convention

Alumni attending the 85th International Convention in Anaheim may volunteer to help raise funds for the Leaders of Promise Scholarship Endowment by contacting Alumni Advisory Council member Darla Masters at darla.masters@ptk.org. The volunteers are needed to man the Foundation Booth in the Academic Marketplace and distribute convention pins to attendees who donate $5 or more to the Leaders of Promise Scholarship Endowment.

3. Planning for Anaheim

4. Honoring Alumni

In a recent issue of The Zetan, newsletter for Zeta of New York Region Alumni Association, it was announced that Zeta of New York has established a "Hall of Honor" to recognize the outstanding achievements of their members and officers. Each year up to five members of the association may be awarded the honor for their exemplary contributions to Phi Theta Kappa and Zeta of New York. Past honorees are Leanne Jardine, Becky Chapin, PJ Cataline and Chris Strang. Email ZetaNY@aol.com for more information.

5. Fellowship and Service

Last summer's annual picnic for Alpha of Illinois Alumni Association allowed more than 40 members of the Association to gather for fun, food, fellowship and more. During the picnic, Alpha members and advisors read Orlowski Scholarship essays and two awards were made. Both winners received a $250 scholarship check. In November, Alpha of Illinois alumni and Theta Omega Chapter members and officers worked side by side to complete all the tasks needed to host the Illinois Regional Convention. An extensive program was put together in order to both inform and entertain the numerous guests at the convention. Contact Bettina Kaufmann-Daszczuk at abscissa01@yahoo.com for more information.
