1. Beta of Arizona assists Alpha Beta Chi Chapter

Beta of Arizona Alumni Association for Alpha Beta Chi chapter alumni at Pima Community College has been asked to assist the chapter with its current American Cancer Society project, the creation of 100+ turbans for cancer patients. Alpha Beta Chi has a crafting committee whose members will cut and sew the turbans, and Beta of Arizona will help by collecting donations of stretch knit material and cones of threads. For further information contact BAAA President Lori Karkosky at lori.karkosky@ptk.org.

2. Leaders of Promise Scholarship Fund increases

As of June 25, 2003, only halfway through the year, contributions to the Leaders of Promise have surpassed $24,000. While many charitable organizations are recording decreases in contributions, the Leaders of Promise scholarship program is gaining supporters.
