Phi Theta Kappa Presidential Leadership Award Scholarship

 

(One) full tuition plus $1,000 per year scholarship. The student must have demonstrated outstanding leadership and service to Phi Theta Kappa at the regional and/or international levels. A minimum 3.50 GPA (4.0 scale) and at least 30 transferable hours are required. The scholarships are awarded competitively based upon total graded transferable hours; cumulative GPA; choice of major; and evidence of leadership and involvement through work, school or service; and awards/achievements. Consideration may also be given to extenuating circumstances, socioeconomic background or bilingual proficiency. The scholarship is renewable for a second year if a minimum 3.0 GPA and full-time status (12 or more credit hours) are maintained along with active participation in Phi Theta Kappa~ Delta of Texas Alumni Association. Two letters of recommendation (one must be from the Phi Theta Kappa advisor or International, Regional or District office) and documentation of Phi Theta Kappa membership are required. Non-Texas resident students who are awarded this scholarship will also receive a waiver of the nonresident tuition fee. Non-U.S. citizens are not eligible. Applicants must complete the Texas Tech University Transfer Scholarship Application and be admitted to the university by the deadline.

A varying number of renewable $2,000 per year scholarships. To be considered for the scholarship, a student must be transferring from a community college with a minimum of 3.0 GPA (4.0 scale) and at least 30 transferable hours, the majority of which must be from a community or two-year college. The scholarships are awarded competitively based upon total graded transferable hours; cumulative GPA; choice of major; and evidence of leadership and involvement through work, school or service; and awards/achievements. Consideration may also be given to extenuating circumstances, socioeconomic background or bilingual proficiency. The scholarship is renewable for a second year if a minimum 3.0 GPA and full-time status are maintained. Non-Texas resident students who are awarded this scholarship will also receive a waiver of the nonresident tuition fee. Texas Tech Alumni Association Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Scholarship

 

A varying number of $1,000 per year scholarships. A minimum 3.25 GPA (4.0 scale), 30 or more transferable hours from a two-year college and at least one full semester of membership in Phi Theta Kappa are required. Preference is given to applicants who have served Phi Theta Kappa in a significant leadership capacity. . The scholarships are awarded competitively based upon total graded transferable hours; cumulative GPA; choice of major; and evidence of leadership and involvement through work, school or service; and awards/achievements. Consideration may also be given to extenuating circumstances, socioeconomic background or bilingual proficiency. Two letters of recommendation (one must be from Phi Theta Kappa advisor) as well as documentation of Phi Theta Kappa membership is required. The scholarship is renewable for a second year if a minimum 3.0 GPA and full-time status are maintained along with active membership and participation in Phi Theta Kappa~ Delta of Texas Alumni Association. Non-Texas resident students who are awarded this scholarship will also receive a waiver of the nonresident tuition fee.
