
Red to BlackTM is an outreach of the Texas Tech University Personal Financial Planning program that provides financial planning education. In addition to seminars and presentations, we provide confidential individual financial counseling and planning services. All of our services are free.
With Red to Black, you can:
- Talk to trained peer financial planners about your personal finances
- Learn how to establish and manage credit
- Create a financial survival plan for college
- Understand your credit report and credit score
- Plan for tuition and fee payments
- Compare future employer benefits packages
- Receive premarital financial counseling
- Graduate with a plan for repaying your debt

Interested in a class on personal finances?
Personal Financial Planning offers a class called Personal and Family Finance (PFP 3301) in the fall, spring, and summer semesters. Students must be in upper-division standing. This course is an excellent introduction to personal financial planning and includes goal setting, cash management, credit, insurance, taxes, housing, investment alternatives, and retirement plans.

Red to Black financial planning appointments on the TTU main campus are typically held in the Family Therapy Clinic in Room 165 of the Human Sciences Building. Click on the link below for a map.
