Dr. Durband is the Director of Red to Black and an Associate Professor of Personal Financial Planning at Texas Tech University. She has 14 years of experience in providing financial education and counseling to university, employee, and community audiences.

Brief Bio:

Sonya is a Ph.D. student in Personal Financial Planning with a minor in Risk Taking Behavior. She obtained her M.S. from Kansas State University in Marriage and Family Therapy and her B.S. from Kansas State University in Personal Financial Planning. 

Sonya is interested in helping individuals and families with their financial issues, as she feels that financial satisfaction is a large aspect of personal self-esteem and relationship satisfaction.
