What is a Profession?
It is a calling requiring specialized knowledge, intensive preparation, high standards of achievement and conduct which commits members of the profession to continuous study and work. The main purpose is to render a public service.
What is Nutrition?
Nutrition is the science of food and nutrients, and the study of their interactions with overall health and disease within the body.
What is Dietetics?
It is a profession concerned with the science and art of human nutritional care, and is an essential component of the health sciences. It includes the extending and imparting of knowledge concerning foods which will provide nutrients sufficient for the human body throughout the life cycle, whether in health or disease state.
