BIG SERVICE PROJECTS

September 12, 2007               
            Silverton
             -Play at the Silverton football game.

September 22, 2007
            Hearts-n-Hooves of Lubbock

1. Help walk miniature horses around neighborhood
2. Feed, groom, and bath
3. Also visit with those in community with special needs

October 27, 2007
            Take-a-Kid-to-the-Game

1. Colorado Game
2. Kids Join in march over, sit in stands, get snacks, enjoy the game, etc.

December 1, 2007
            Covenant Christmas Music Night

1. Singing, playing instruments, card-making, gift-giving, game-playing
2. Will do one big show and then travel to room bound kids

COMMITTEE BASED SERVICE

-Friday Cooler Clean-Out after Goin’ Band rehearsal.
-Saturday morning Seat Covers before Goin’ Band rehearsal.
- Concert ushering

INDIVIDUAL PROJECTS SEUGGESTIONS

-Assist at local soup kitchen
-Help at the Haven
-Individual Dunbar Middle School visits.

ALL-CHAPTER SERVICE PROJECTS

Prom Dress Drive

1. Dresses for underprivileged girls who still want to go to prom
2. Start now for spring!!!
3. Any Dresses
4. Ask everyone you know!

Goin’ Band Toy Drive sponsored by TBS

1. Start in mid November and runs the last day of Goin’ Band
2. Toys donated to Salvation Army/ taken to Covenant for their Christmas Party

Dunbar

1. Go to Dunbar Friday afternoon to help the kids
2. Also plan another concert field trip for the kids to come, to learn concert etiquette

DURING-MEETING SERVICE ACTIVITIES

• Cards during holidays for the elderly at local nursing homes
• Cards for kids at Covenant and UMC
• Make breast cancer ribbons
