The current Texas Legislative Session is probably one of the most important sessions for public education!  Be sure to check out the Networker that comes to you via email for the most up to date information concerning the legislative session. 

What can you do?

Write your Congressmen, let them know how you feel.  Things will not change unless educators and future educators work hard to get them changed! 

Educate yourself. Find out what is going on in education. Since most schools are publicly funded, the government decides how much teachers/educators make and what benefits they recieve. This affects future teachers greatly since the laws that are being passed now are most likely what will still be in place in a few years when you finally get your first classroom, paycheck, etc.
