College National Finals Bound!

By Coach Chris Guay (4.18.11)

Three Tech Rodeo Raiders have “sewn up” the Southwest Region championships in each of their respective events. Each will receive their trophy saddles and advance to the College National Finals Rodeo this June in Casper, Wyoming. (see www.collegerodeo.com)

  • Taylor Langdon – Barrel Racing Champion
  • Bailey Guthrie – Goat tying Champion
  • Luke Creasy – Bareback Bronc Riding Champion

Currently Texas Tech’s women’s team is 2nd in the region and the men’s team is 4th; the top two teams and top three individuals in each event [in the Steer Wrestling CJ Kerr is currently 2nd, and Clay Creasy is 4th in Saddle Bronc) advance to the CNFR. After the final competition, Tarleton State University Rodeo April 28-30, we will know who advances to CNFR.

We are all very excited about our quest for the national championships!
