This arena was originally built by Texas Tech University students and alumni back in the 1950s. This location was revived in the mid 1990s upon hiring a new rodeo coach and revamping the rodeo program.

Today, the Dub Parks Memorial Arena serves as practice grounds for the Tech Rodeo Team as well as a location for equine Animal Science classes.

  • Located on the corner of 4th Street and Quaker in Lubbock, Texas
  • 325' x 120' Practice Arena
  • 285' x 150' Practice Arena
  • 285' x 30' Roping Alley
  • 15 Stall Horse Barn (165' x 25')
  • 5 Round Pens
  • Various other holding pens
  • 2 Tack/feed sheds
  • Roping stock (changed out each term or as needed)
    • Steers
    • Calves
    • Goats
