This facility (known previously as Caprock Equestrian
Center) was donated to Texas Tech by Curtis and Sue Griffith as
of January 1, 2004. The Texas Tech Equestrian Center has hosted
the Texas Tech NIRA Rodeo since
the 2004 rodeo. In addition, the Tech Rodeo Team also uses the facility
for practices.

Tech Rodeo has the following facilities at TTEC
- 300' x 150' practice arena
- 40' x 300' roping alley/arena (almost finished)
- 20 stall horse barn (12'x40' stalls) with hay,
feed, tack storage (for rodeo student use only) (soon to be built)
