Tech Rodeo Home | Facilities | Texas Tech Equestrian Center |

This facility (known previously as Caprock Equestrian
Center) was donated to Texas Tech by Curtis and Sue Griffith as
of January 1, 2004. The Texas Tech Equestrian Center has hosted
the Texas Tech NIRA Rodeo since
October 2004. In addition, the Tech Rodeo Team also uses the facility
for practices as well as separate facilities just for Rodeo.

Here are some general details about TTEC
- Indoor arena with roping and bucking chutes
- Concession stand
- Covered warm up area
- stall (12' x 12') horse barn with tack/feed
stalls
- Outdoor warmup area
- 3 outdoor arenas
- Round pen
- Hippotherapy obstacle course
- Paved parking lot
- Gravel trailer parking lot
Tech Rodeo has the following facilities at TTEC
- 300' x 150' practice arena
- 40' x 300' roping alley/arena
- 20 stall horse barn (12'x40' stalls) with hay,
feed, tack storage (for rodeo student use only)
