Día de los Muertos
Day of the Dead

Una celebración que se realiza los primeros días de noviebre dedicada a el Dia de los Muertos. A celebration taking place during the beginning of November fully dedicated to Day of the Dead.

Piñata Fest

Este evento típicamente se lleva acabo después de Carol of Lights cada año. Nuestros visitantes disfrutan de chocolate caliente, pan dulce y diversión, mientras que UMI les da a conocer la tradición de romper piñatas. Haz click en la foto para ver más información.   This event is typically held immediately after Carol of Lights on a yearly basis. We provide visitors with hot chocolate, sweet bread, and fun, while explaining the tradition of breaking piñatas. Click on the piñata for more information.

Gala "Un Idioma que Une"

The purpose of this event is to recognize members and former members of the organization for their commitment to UMI. Two scholarships will be awarded to two UMI members. Texas Tech faculty and staff and the Lubbock community will also be recognized at this event for their unconditional support to UMI throughout the years. There will be a silent auction in conjunction with the gala. Some of the items that people will have the opportunity to bid on come from different parts of the world. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a unique item from a foreign country!
