Dr. Bolanle Olaniran's area of specialization is organizational communication, small group, computer-mediate communication, and intercultural communication. His current research focuses on the impact of modern technology on organizations, socialization of multi-ethnic organizations, intercultural issues organization, and management styles. In addition to his focus on communication, he is a faculty associate of the International Center of Arid and Semiarid Land Studies; he has an interest in communication in arid environments. He is recently honored with awards in the discipline: Marquis Who is Who Award sciences and engineering and is twice given the Who is Who among Teachers in U.S. universities (These awards are special because they come from the students and they only go to about 5% of the teachers) and recently chosen as the American Communication Association Outstanding Scholar.
