Philanthropy

Our national philanthropy is Breast Cancer Awareness and Education, benefiting the

Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation

In 1992, Zeta Tau Alpha adopted the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation as a project in the Fraternity's national philanthropy of "Breast Cancer Awareness & Education."  The ZTA Foundation has donated more than a quarter of a million dollars to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.  The Zeta chapter at Texas Tech participates in the annual Race For The Cure race in the fall and win the "Largest Team Award" every year.  In the Spring semester, Zeta organizes a "Bowl-A-Thon" in order to raise money for our philanthropy.
